Botswana's Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) Tracker is an independent online tool to promote transparency and public input in the EIA process.

The platform makes EIA information more readily available so that it is easier to track EIAs and give input into them. Making EIA more transparent strengthens public role, making EIA more useful. It provides features that include search and interactive map covering public consultations, reports available for comment, and recently completed projects.

This site provides information about EIAs in progress, and is separate from the formal administration of EIAs which is done by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Comments about specific EIAs should be directed to DEP at the contacts indicated per project.

The plaftform is implemented with support from the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA) and Makgadikgadi Research Institute.
